Absolute time, not interval counting

Coffee brew timer

CupTune recalculates elapsed time after backgrounding or reload, so a delayed callback does not silently shift the recipe.

    When the screen locks

The timer anchors to an epoch and recomputes on return. It also attempts a screen Wake Lock after Start; denial never blocks the recipe.

    Reload recovery

An in-progress session is stored locally with its recipe id and elapsed anchor. Resume or discard it from this device only.

When the timer meets a real kitchen

Does the timer keep running if I switch apps?

Yes. It anchors to an absolute time and recalculates on return, so backgrounding the tab or locking the screen does not silently shift the recipe.

What happens if I reload the page mid-brew?

The session is stored locally with its recipe and elapsed anchor, so you can resume or discard it. That state stays on this device only.

    Will the screen stay awake?

The timer requests a screen wake lock after you press start where the browser supports it. If the request is denied the recipe still runs normally.

Can I run my own recipe on the timer?

Yes. Clone a starter recipe on the recipes page, change it, and it stays in this browser as your own version with its own name.
