Your local data boundary
Privacy
CupTune is useful without an account, and your brew data remains on the device where you entered it.
CupTune operates this coffee-planning site and is responsible for the limited site data described here. Privacy questions can be sent to support@cuptune.com with the subject “Privacy request”.
Journal, recipes and offline files
Custom recipes, active timer sessions, bean details, grinder settings, measurements, taste ratings, notes and imports are stored in this browser using IndexedDB. Cache Storage keeps public application files for offline use. None of those private brew fields is transmitted to CupTune, Umami or Google. Browser storage remains until you clear it or the browser evicts it; it is not a backup, so export before clearing site data or changing devices.
Cookieless audience measurement
Public routes load a self-hosted Umami counter from analytics.pagefabrica.com. It receives page address, page title, referrer, browser language and screen size. The service may use the request IP address and user agent to form an anonymous session hash and coarse device or location statistics; it does not store the IP address, set an analytics cookie or create a browser identifier.
The only property-free product event names CupTune can send are work_started and work_completed. They carry no recipe values, journal fields, notes, measurements, symptoms, result text or identifiers. We use this limited measurement under our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving the site. The counter honours Do Not Track; enable it in your browser or contact support to object. Aggregate Umami records currently have no fixed automatic expiry and cannot ordinarily be linked to a named visitor.
Advertising is prepared, not serving
This release reserves hidden placements and includes a local lazy loader, but every ad unit identifier is empty. It therefore makes no Google advertising request and writes no advertising storage. After provider approval and a newly approved exact-byte release, Google AdSense may load only as a wired placement approaches the viewport. A Google-certified TCF v2.3 consent platform will let visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland consent, refuse, manage and revisit advertising choices before purposes that require consent. Applicable US privacy choices, including an opt-out of sale or sharing for cross-context advertising where the law treats the provider use that way, will be available through the same privacy surface; Global Privacy Control will be honoured. Brew inputs and journal data are never advertising attributes.
Your choices and rights
Export or clear local records from the Journal page, or clear the site’s storage in your browser. Depending on where you live, you may ask what information is available, object to processing, request correction or deletion, withdraw advertising consent, opt out of applicable sale or sharing, or complain to your local data-protection authority. Email support with the subject “Privacy request” and do not include a journal export. Because the journal never leaves your device and cookieless analytics has no account identifier, we may have no record that can be linked to you.
